Amber (20) from The Netherlands is the founder of AmbitionWise. She is one of few people who loves to watch ads, and maybe even the only person you will ever know to do so. Amber's addicted to golf, fusion sushi and Jakarta, and convinced M&M Cripsy’s are flown in fresh from heaven. When she’s all grown up she will be the best in everything, but her talent for sleeping in late will do for now. For AmbitionWise, Amber will cover the best young business talents and will bring business ideas with @ventures. @Ventures: Environmental Friendly

My favorite business ideas are the ones that try to make the world more environmental friendly. In these inconvenient truth times they will not only make better use of the world’s scare resources, but are also bound to make the business behind it a very successful one.
1. BottleCycler - Recycling Glass Bottles
BottleCycler is an Australian company, which helps recycle disposable glass bottles. The company brings the hospitality business a machine to crush bottles. It can be placed inside the bar, enabling bartendes to stay behind the bar instead of carrying heavy bar bins outside. More importantly, the glass falls into a wheelie bin. This bin is picked up by BottleCycler and brought to to regional glass recycling plants.

2. Ecoist - Candy Wrapper Bags
It’s not that new, but you gotta love it. Ecoist makes bracelets and handbags from recycled, organic, or earth-friendly materials. They are manufactured through a network of fair trade partnerships around the world. So start saving those candy wrappers, get your little siblings to fold them into a bag and try getting 38 dollars for a bag, too!
3. Hitchsters - Share a Cab in New York
Carpooling benefits the environment. Now you can not only share your own car, you can also share a cab. Hitchsters is said to be a combination of a social networking and a ride matching site. Since cabs are so expensive, sharing is the perfect alternative and help the environment just a little bit at the same time.

Great writeup Amber of some neat companies helping the environment. I am going to check out BottleCycler more, I haven’t seen this in the U.S.
